1. On the first burn, burn for 2-3 hours to ensure that the melt pool has reached the edges of the jar
2. Burning for more than four hours at a time reduces the overall burn time
3. Ensure the wick is upright, above the wax and central before the wax sets
4. Always trim the wick to 5 mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass
5. Extinquish when 5 mm of wax remains and do not relight
